Key Performance Indicators

In the previous chapter, we saw the various metrics used in Availability Management. In addition to those, Availability Management can use a range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate continual improvement. Those KPIs are:
• Percentage reduction in service unavailability
• Percentage increase in service reliability
• Percentage improvement in end-to-end availability
• Percentage reduction in the number of service breaks
• Percentage reduction in lost user time due to unavailability of services
• Percentage reduction in third-party contract breaches of availability service levels
